IRS Opens Website to Explain New Health Care Tax Law

The Internal Revenue Service has launched a new Affordable Care Act Tax Provisions site at to educate individuals and businesses on how the health care law might affect them.

The main page of the site includes three sections explaining the tax benefits and responsibilities for individuals and families, employers and others.  The website also provides information about tax provisions that are in effect now and those that will go into effect in 2014 and beyond.

If you and your family have health care coverage, you may not have to do anything different in 2014.

Starting in 2014, you and your family must either have health care coverage, an exemption from coverage, or make a payment when you file your 2014 tax return due April 15, 2015.
